What to Consider When Choosing
Now you’ve seen some of the trendiest areas in Liverpool, it is important that you consider the following when choosing the right area for you.
Commute and Transport Links
If you are someone who plans on working outside of the city or in the city centre, something that you have to consider is the transport links of the area you select. Luckily for you, Liverpool has fantastic inner-city transport links, so you can get around the city by train or bus really easily.
If you plan on living in the city and commuting to other locations, you need to think about the transport links in your area. For example, Aigburth has a local train station, but to go to locations such as Manchester or London, you’d need to travel through Lime Street Station, which may require further travel depending on where you live.
Schools and Amenities
If you have children and you’re looking for a safe area for them to live, while also having easy access to high-performing schools, it is important that you take the time to research the available areas. For more information, check out our guide on the best areas to live in Liverpool for families.

Though all areas have access to schools and local amenities, some city centre locations have a more difficult route to schools, with many schools and nurseries located on busier roads, which some parents may be reluctant to use.
If you are looking for safe areas with easy access to schools and great local amenities, we would definitely suggest Allerton, Formby, and Crosby, all of which are fantastic school districts.
Property Prices
Though house prices in Liverpool are still considerably lower than in most cities, local property prices have increased. Some areas are significantly more affordable than others. For example, properties in Ropewalks are much more affordable than properties in Formby, so it may be a better choice if you are on a limited budget.
For investors, it is important to consider price discrepancies between areas when choosing where to invest, as some areas are expected to become more expensive, while others are likely to decline in value. Make sure you educate yourself on local property prices. If you’re interested in investment opportunities, our team can help guide you.
Lifestyle
We all have different lifestyles, which means that we all have different wants and needs from a property. For example, if you are a gardening buff and you want to be surrounded by greenery and secure a property with a huge garden, locations such as the Baltic Triangle or Ropewalks might not be the best idea.
Alternatively, if you want to be right on the doorstep of bustling nightlife and events, moving further out of the city to places like Formby and Crosby may not suit your needs. We always recommend travelling to the areas you have considered so you can get a better idea of whether they’ll match your lifestyle.
