Liverpool City Centre Restaurants

If you are looking at property for sale in Liverpool City Centre, then you need to keep in mind all of the benefits that come with Liverpool City Centre. This includes easy access to transport links such as with Queens Square and Lime Street Station, plenty of entertainment amenities, and, most-importantly to some, a brilliant selection of bars and restaurants.

Liverpool is small, close-knit community when compared to other urban cities with as much influence as we have. Despite this, there is still so much to see and do in our city centre.

When looking for restaurants, there are three main areas that you should look to for inspiration:

  • Ropewalks
  • Baltic Triangle
  • Albert Dock and Waterfront

Outside of these three locations, there are still amazing Liverpool restaurants spread out across the City Centre, especially in areas like Liverpool One, Castle Street, and the Commercial District.

Take a look at our guide to restaurants in Liverpool City Centre for information on what you can expect to have on your doorstep if you make the move to our amazing city.

Ropewalks

The Ropewalks area in the City Centre was named after the rope making industry that was found in this region until the 19th century. It includes the streets from Hanover Street to Roscoe Street, and Renshaw Street to Park Lane/St James Street.

This is a massive area with many smaller hubs located within. For example, you have Bold Street which is arguably the most popular street in the city for bars and restaurants, as well as Chinatown which is one of the oldest settlements of Chinese communities in Europe.

In this area you’ll find a restaurant to suit any craving you could have. Some of the best rated and most-recommended restaurants are:

Baltic Triangle

The Baltic Triangle has gone from a run-down post-industrial area, to a hidden gem, to a main player in Liverpool’s hospitality industry.

In this area of the City Centre, you’ll find plenty of independent cafes, coffee shops, and breweries. Some stand outs are 92 Degrees, Love Lane Brewery, Bar and Kitchen, and Chapters of Us.

However, the real powerhouse of the Baltic Triangle is the Baltic Market. When Baltic Market opened in 2017 it was Liverpool’s first and only street food market.

It plays host to many different Liverpool based restaurants who then serve a selection of their menu from one of the Baltic’s food stalls. This makes Baltic Market one of the best choices of dining destination if you aren’t sure exactly what you want or if you can’t come to an agreement on where you want to go as every guest can choose food from a different stall.

Albert Dock and Waterfront

The Albert Dock and Liverpool’s Waterfront are an integral part of Liverpool’s iconic aesthetics. This is largely due to the presence of The Three Graces that are instantly recognisable elements of Liverpool’s skyline, made up of The Port of Liverpool Building, The Royal Liver Building, The Cunard Building.

The Royal Albert Dock dates back to 1837 and although it has been renovated and re-opened since then, it still retains a lot of its Georgian style and appearance with industrial brick and cast iron.

Yet there’s more to this area of the city than just how it looks. Within the Albert Dock you will find a plethora of top-quality restaurants, such as:
