The future of Walton

Walton has been promised plenty of funding to regenerate the area, and this regeneration is currently underway.

Specifically referring to County and Walton Road, £1m of investment is being pumped into them currently. Because of Walton’s importance in to the city in terms of sport, Everton and Everton in the Community are involved in the redevelopment of the area, so expect more regeneration opportunities in the future.

Another potential boon to the area comes by way of a potential railway station opening to allow easier access to Anfield stadium on the Canada Dock rail line that is currently only used for trade. Feasibility tests have been commissioned to work on this idea, which would only increase the value of properties in Walton and around Anfield, as well as make life easier for any current residents by giving them another mode of transport on their doorstep.
